The Perfect Gentleman

We don’t refer to Holy Trinity in human form. Well, we do refer to God as Father God and Jesus as our brother. But we don’t offer them a category outside of the personality where we would consider them a friendly, familiar, everyday character. We refer to them with in intimacy that means we know them. I wish we referred to the Holy Spirit with the same intimacy. In John 14, Jesus begins to share with us that we will receive another “Friend” that was to be sent by Father God. A Friend that is the Spirit of Truth. This friend would be sent at Jesus’ request and that he would be with us and remind us of all that Jesus has told us. Jesus went on to say that the Holy Spirit is his parting gift. We were not to feel abandoned or distraught because of who Jesus was asking Father God to leave with us. Jesus continues in John 16:13 (MSG), He says that the Spirit of Truth will take us by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is”. Many Christians don’t realize that the Holy Spirit is here with us on Earth. I have come to know, live and share with life with the Holy Spirit, who I recognize as the perfect gentleman. He has never pushed himself on me, made me do anything.

He sits quietly waiting for me to tap into His ability and for me to invite him to live this life with me. I often call Him, Mr Holy Spirit as a way to reference his position and the perfect gentleman that He is. Time spent praying to and with the Holy Spirit allows me to walk closer to God’s perfect will. There have been many encounters where I was able to tap into his ability when He brought something back to my remembrance. He brought a scripture, a thought or something that I needed to help me apply that principle in that situation. Mr Holy Spirit has been my spirit of truth for many years. He has showed me and directed me with the Truth about what God would have me to do or say in a situation. I have never experienced the anointing or presence of God without Mr. Holy Spirit being a part of that experience. We don’t experience spiritual things with a rational mind. It is important to remember that this when fellowship with God, Jesus and Mr. Holy Spirit. There are 3 in one. Just like we are 3 in one. We have a spirit, have a soul and live in a body.

We are tri-part beings that have a purpose and design that are set apart. We need to remember that Mr. Holy Spirit helps us live out the blueprint that God has for us. I can mention so many situations where Mr. Holy Spirit was there to remind me, teach me or prepare me for things that were going to happen. One example is the day my mother was promoted to Heaven. I received the call to come to the emergency room. I live an hour away from the hospital she was taken to and got ready to get on the road. As I entered the on-ramp, I heard Mr. Holy Spirit tell me that she was with the Lord. I didn’t believe it and I couldn’t conceive it. I arrived at the hospital and met the reality that she’s had been promoted to Heaven. Mr. Holy Spirit is the perfect gentleman that will always be a good listener, kind, speaker of truth, respectful and considerate. He is available to you to know. We have to become more than Christians that are going to Heaven, we need to be disciples that create Heaven on Earth.
