We don’t refer to Holy Trinity in human form. Well, we do refer to God as Father God and Jesus as our brother. But we don’t offer them a category outside of the personality where we would consider them a friendly, familiar, everyday character. We refer to them with in intimacy that means we know them.

Yesterday I wasn’t sitting in any church. I was in the church where my son, Matthew Tarkington, is pastor. He is highly anointed. I have taught in several Bible schools and have preached from many pulpits. I know many highly anointed younger and older preachers; my son doesn’t lag behind any of them. I sit amazed at his insight (although occasionally, he takes credit for something I told him years ago).

I just love Abraham because he was given such a BIG promise from God even when it seem against all odd. Let's take a peek into a time in his life where the promise of God was being challenged within him and see how you might just compare to him!

2 Samuel 4:4 - “Jonathan son of Saul had a son who was lame in both feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel. His nurse picked him up and fled, but as she hurried to leave, he felland became disabled. His name was Mephibosheth.”When you read the story of Mephibosheth in second Samuel, we come to understand that as a result of being dropped by his nurse, the person that was supposed to have taken care of him.

Abraham was a perfect example for us to follow when it looks like in the natural what God promised you would never happen. It may look like what God said is dead and has passed you by; but what I loved best about this verse was that Abraham noticed his natural ability had faded away, but it never robbed Him of his faith in what God spoke to him.

I was watching a three year old little boy, Sam, playing one day. He was running back and forth laughing, completely enjoying life! As he was running fast across the room he spotted a bright yellow helium balloon floating in the air that was attached by a long curly string.
